An old woman knelt in front of the grave, a bouquet of violets in her
arms. Her body shook with sobs, and there was a small, wet stain on
the floor where her tears had fallen. A carved Ninetales was crouched
on top of the stone in front of her, and an inscription was carved
into it in slanted, elegant letters.

its tails were covered in slightly rusted copper. It was beautifully
detailed, with each little claw carved out, each strand of fur viSible
